#1. Simply eat healthy.
What does eating healthy mean? It simply means, eating the right food, in the right proportions and at the right time. Everything needs to be balanced out. So, the best option would be to have breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper.
#2. Find smart alternatives.
Try to snack up on healthy and nutritious alternatives. For instance, eat a handful of almonds or healthy dry fruits instead of unhealthy junk like chips and cookies.
#3. Water, water and more water!
We’ve heard this one time and again. Keep yourself well hydrated. Don’t mix up the thirst for hunger, instead of reaching for that ‘packet of fat’, drink some water instead. Another great tip, always drink water before the meal, this would keep you feeling full, controlling you from overeating.
#4. Eat smaller meals often.
Eating light, frequent meals helps to curb your appetite. It also boosts up your energy and speeds up your metabolism. You can carry some nuts in a tiffin box, which can be eaten anywhere and is a convenient option too.
#5. Set reasonable goals.
Set goals that can be achieved easily. Do not change your diet drastically, as this could backfire. If you make too many changes at once, you could end up giving into temptation and eating more than you usually would, resulting in ‘weight gain’ instead of ‘weight loss’.
#6. Include healthy seeds.
Yes! Include these seeds into your diet. Seeds like hemp, sunflower, flax, pumpkin, chia are some great options. Just toss them into a salad or just snack away.
#7. Veggies and Fruits.
We’ve heard this one too! There’s no better way than this. Getting loads of fruits and veggies is a great option. Vegetables are naturally low in fat and calories. So, get your dose of vitamins and minerals by including fruits and veggies in your diet.
#8. Last but not the least-Ditch processed food.
This is your biggest ENEMY! Gradually, start replacing processed foods with healthy fresh alternatives. Highly processed foods tend to be low in nutrients and is not a good idea. Try making your healthy versions instead!
